Is it summer yet?? How to make Lavender Lemonade.
Lavender lemonade was always very popular at our tea room, especially during the summer. Here's how you make it!
First, you can make your lemonade from scratch with fresh lemons or you can use the 12oz frozen cans. Pink lemonade looks prettier. You can always add a drop of food colouring to regular lemonade to get the pink effect as well.
For every 12oz of lemonade add 8 cups of water (even though the package might say 3).
Next, in a pot, add 1 1/2 cups of water with 1/2 cup of sugar.
Bring to a boil.
Add 1/3 of a cup of lavender petals.
Cook gently for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it steep for about 30 minutes.
Strain out the petals and add to your lemonade pitcher.
Stir and enjoy!
